The Truth of Confidence

Dr. Pat: So can we talk for a minute about the truth of that and the word consciousness, because we are using the word consciousness.

Sarah: I was fortunate. My parents studied philosophy and practised meditation. They were incredibly open-minded. They came from England, postwar England, and they loved Australia because it was open, it was creative. There were possibilities here that simply they didn’t find in the UK and they discovered philosophy and meditation. And that opened the door for me and I followed them into those classes at 10. I was keen and I was asked if I wanted to go. I wanted to do it, I wanted to be there.  I didn’t quite know what to expect, but I want to be there. So I was taught from day one, in my first philosophy class about how to simply stay with the awareness and let that expand, that awareness, that consciousness is within myself, that it’s everywhere. This was in 1971. Conscious Confidence is about being in the present moment because there is no actual fear in the present moment.
